The RED EDGE-4 is an open source single bandpass NIR filter for the agricultural study of vegetation and must be processed through outside software systems like Infragram, Drone Deploy, Pix4D, Botlink, Precision Mapper. For 4.35mm, GoPro, DJI.
These filters are made from optical glass for maximum resolution quality to the HD resolution lenses or sensor we apply the filter to. We use only the highest resolution mapping lenses for these NDVI filters.
Our NDVI vegetation stress camera conversion service allows your camera to capture near-infrared edge light for use in vegetation stress or health monitoring by UAV drone mapping. These custom vegetation-sensing lenses filter out all green, blue and red light and allow the normally blocked near infrared band to be collected. This allows your camera to collect NIR edge light (NR). With this data, the vegetation index NIR can be calculated.
This Single filter has been designed primarily for NDVI soil imaging applications but is also superior for mapping high-resolution aerial photos because of its red targeted properties highly related to B&W imaging. This filter produces a very strong effect and greatly increase contrast. It's often considered too "harsh" for most types of photography, but can be used to produce striking creative effects. In landscape photography, the filter will turn a blue sky almost black and make clouds really stand out, giving the scene a dramatic feel. They're also excellent for increasing visibility in haze and fog. An overall less expensive way to shoot infrared photography.

Note: There are some cheap aftermarket makers from China producing a poor quality version of our filters and calling it "NDVI-7", "NDVI-8", "Red-8", and "CVI-6". It is not one of ours or the same accurate specs as ours. If you didn't get it from IRpro or our other affiliates then you got a counterfeit filtered lens.
