Chlorophyll Vegetation Index
CVI = (NIR * Red) / (Green ^ 2)

Normalized Green
NG = Green / (NIR + Red + Green)

Normalized Near Infrared
NNIR = NIR / (NIR + Red + Green)

Normalised Red
NR = Red / (NIR + Red + Green)

Triangular Vegetation Index
TVI =0.5 * (120 * (NIR – Green) – 200 * (Red – Green)

The CVI-6 is an open source triple bandpass NDVI filter for an agricultural study of vegetation and must be processed through outside software systems like Infragram, Drone Deploy, Pix4D, Botlink, Agribotix, Precision Mapper, etc.

Always check and ask to test their software first. For 3.35mm, GoPro, DJI.

These filters are made from optical glass for maximum resolution quality to the HD resolution lenses or sensor we apply the filter to. We use only the highest resolution mapping lenses for these NDVI filters. Each of our filters must pass strict guidelines for proper transmission.

Our NDVI vegetation stress camera conversion service allows your camera to capture blue, green and near-infrared light for use in vegetation stress or health monitoring by UAV drone mapping. These custom vegetation-sensing lenses filter out all blue light and instead allows the normally blocked near infrared band to be collected. This allows your camera to collect NIR, Green and Red light (NGR). With this data, the vegetation index RGNIR-CVI can be calculated.

This triple bandpass lens is primarily designed for aerial agriculture mapping and surveying purposes. Green-Red-Near IR data is used for applications where the Chlorophyll Vegetation Index (CVI) and other vegetative index monitoring is preferred like soil. The CVI-6 lens, when mounted in converted consumer cameras, can help in achieving a more affordable, lightweight alternative to systems using three or more cameras or sensors. This index is recommended to analyze crops in early to mid-growth stages, in areas with relatively sparse vegetation where the soil is visible through the canopy.

Note: There are some cheap aftermarket makers from China producing a poor quality version of our filters and calling it "NDVI-7", "NDVI-8", "Red-8", and "CVI-6". It is not one of ours or the same accurate specs as ours. If you didn't get it from IRpro or our other affiliates then you got a counterfeit filtered lens.
